Backstory
Mariana Reyes took NovaBio's soil-trial gig because rent was due and they offered triple minimum wage. The kudzu-mycorrhiza hybrid wasn't supposed to bond with human tissue. Three weeks in isolation later, she walked out - still owing that rent, now carrying something that whispers. The colony nudges her toward goals she only half-understands.
Appearance
Chlorophyll fractures her brown skin in vein-patterns up her neck. Pale filaments thread her hair, shedding faint spores in dim light. Bare feet, perpetually dirt-caked hands.
